A pass the length of the work
Buying a full licence for one delivery means paying for a tool you may not open again. This pass exists because post is booked by the delivery and not by the year, and you should be able to pay for the days you need it: for a one-off commission or for a student project.
Why a lifetime licence and not a subscription
Because this is a tool you reach for on delivery day and then not again for a month. A subscription would charge you for the weeks you did not open it, and it would make us the kind of company that has to keep you subscribed rather than keep you happy. One payment, every update, for life.
Questions about the price
What counts against the 5 minutes?
The length of the timeline you are converting, not the amount of media you point at or how many tracks come out. A four-minute short with sixty clips on twelve roles converts on the free plan with everything switched on.
Does “lifetime” really mean every update?
Yes. One payment, every version we ever ship, for as long as the application exists. There is no upgrade fee and no version 2 that you have to buy again.
What happens when the 3-day pass runs out?
The app carries on working exactly as the free plan does: everything switched on, up to 5 minutes. Nothing you already converted is affected, and nothing is deleted.
Can I move it to another Mac?
Yes. Install the application on the other Mac and enter the same licence — it is not a second one and there is nothing more to buy. It will tell you the previous Mac is still holding it: release that one, activate this one, and you are working. You can do that from the new Mac even if the old one is lost or dead. A licence can change Mac five times every 30 days, and each change comes back 30 days after you use it. The application says how many are left before you release anything.
Is the free plan a trial?
No. It does not expire and it is not counting anything down. Projects up to 5 minutes convert on it for as long as the application exists, with every feature switched on — it is a plan, not a sample.
Can I buy it now?
Yes. Both paid plans are on sale, and until 30 September the launch codes make the pass $9 and the lifetime licence $39. If you would rather try it first, you do not have to buy anything to do that: the free plan converts up to 5 minutes with every feature switched on, for as long as the application exists.
Do I have to enter the coupon code?
Yes, and it is worth doing: the launch price is not applied for you. Paste 3DAYPASS or LIFETIME into the coupon box at checkout and the pass is $9 instead of $15, or the licence $39 instead of $79. What happens on 1 October?
The pass goes back to $15 and the lifetime licence to $79, and the codes stop working. Nothing changes for anyone who already bought: a licence bought at the launch price is the same licence at the same price forever, updates included.
Will there be a Windows version?
Not for now. This is one person's project, and supporting a second platform properly is more than one person can do well: it has to be built, tested and answered for. Mac with Apple Silicon is what there is.
