We are looking for 10 editors, assistants and mixers to run fcp2aaf on projects that actually matter. Ninety days of full access, free, in exchange for telling us what goes wrong.

What you get

    The full application, with no 5-minute ceiling and no feature held back. The ninety days start when we send you the build, not when you write.

  • A lifetime licence, if you help

    Testers who actually report what breaks — and help us get to the bottom of it — keep the app for life, with every future update. That is not a lottery: it is the deal.

  • A direct line

    You write to a person, not a form. This is a one-person project, so the person reading your bug report is the one who fixes it.

  • Say what it should do

    The settings that exist today exist because somebody asked. During a beta that door is wide open.

What we ask

  • Use it on real work

    A ten-second test tells us nothing. We want it pointed at a documentary, a series episode, a commercial with forty layers of sound design — the timelines that go wrong.

  • Tell us when it breaks

    An email is enough: what you were doing, what you expected, what happened. If you can attach the .fcpxml, that is what makes it reproducible.

  • Check the delivery in your DAW

    The only test that counts is the session opening correctly in the program you actually mix in.

About your material

Some bugs cannot be found from a description. If we cannot reproduce one, we may ask you to send the .fcpxml — and, occasionally, a piece of the media it points at, because some faults only appear against the real file.

  • We only ever ask. Nothing is collected automatically and the app uploads nothing.
  • If your material is under NDA, say no. It costs you nothing and does not affect your place in the programme.
  • An .fcpxml on its own is usually enough. It describes the edit; it does not contain your footage.
  • Anything you do send is used to reproduce that one fault and nothing else.

There is no form and nothing to sign up for. Send an email with a few details so we know your setup, and we will reply with a build.
